  14. **INSTALLATION AND REQUIRED FILES**

  17. VB40032.DLL & associated files - Microsoft Visual Basic runtime library
  18. must be located in the WINDOWS\SYSTEM directory
  19. (No other DLL's or VBX's or OCX's required!)

  25. **OVERVIEW**
  26.  
  27. Simona Planner is a program for college students looking for a way
  28. to organize the courses they have taken and the tests or papers 
  29. they have written into a concise visual form. Simona Planner uses a 
  30. folder/file cabinet metaphor to organize the data. There are two 
  31. file cabinets: The Current Semester File Cabinet, in which you 
  32. create folders that represent the courses that you are currently
  33. taking, and the Past Semesters File Cabinet where the courses
  34. you have taken are collected and organized for easy display. The
  35. beauty of it all is that Simona Planner automatically calculates your
  36. GPA and your accumulated credits. The program features a 
  37. hypothetical GPA calculator, where you can input mock grades, and 
  38. a progress graph of your GPA semester by semester. Simona Planner
  39. also features a phone book to keep track of people and calendar to
  40. keep track of appointments, and test or paper due dates.

  71. **Known Bugs**
  72.  
  73. Most bugs that I know of have been eliminated.

  75. "Not really a bug but a weakness":
  76. The datafiles that Simona Planner uses to store your folders, tests,
  77. grades and whatever can be EASILY corrupted. Simona Planner assumes
  78. that the data in these files are in a particular order and if you
  79. tamper with them you may upset that order! Do not tamper with the
  80. files. Although now that I brought it to your attention you probably
  81. will anyway.

  83. The Help files are little sketchy. I'm not really good at writing
  84. helpfiles and their pretty hard to write. HOPEFULLY the program is
  85. so INTUITIVE that you won't need much help. If you do and the help
  86. files don't help then you can always E-Mail me with questions
  87. (addresses listed above).

  90. **Changes Since Last Version**
  91.  
  92. The user now has the ability to change the letter and value of 
  93. grades that Simona Planner will accept as Final Grades when putting
  94. the Current Semester Folders into the File Cabinet.
  95.  
  96. The user now has the ability to rename a planner from within Simona
  97. Planner.
  98.  
  99. The Current Semester Folders and File Cabinet now sport a new "look."
  100.  
  101. The Calendar now has a "Daily" view similar to those found in
  102. paper planners. The benefit of the "Dialy" view is that you get to
  103. see the contents of your notes, reminders, and appointments on one
  104. screen.

  106. An "Appointment Book" has now been added to the Calendar.

  108. The Calendar now has a "Purge" feature to get rid of old and
  109. outdated events.

  111. The Phone Book now has a "Copy List" feature that allows the user
  112. to copy a range of information into the Windows clipboard (handy
  113. for e-mailing multiple receipients).

  115. The "QuikDial" feature available when the user right-clicks on a
  116. phone number in the phone book now works.

  118. Simona Planner and the phone book no longer wreak havok on 256
  119. color desktop wallpaper.

  121. Various other small improvements and bug fixes.
